Harmon Transportation promotes the safe and responsible consumption of alcohol and prescribed drugs and acknowledges the heightened safety risk that drugs and alcohol presents within the transportation and logistics industry.

The purpose of this policy to provide a safer working environment for all personnel, including our customers and the broader community. Harmon Transportation has a duty of care to its workers and its stakeholders.

Prescription Drugs

*Harmon Transportation acknowledges that some team members may need to consume prescribed drugs for their health. In such circumstances team members must only take prescribed medications in the way prescribed by a medical professional and where it is confirmed that the consumption of such prescribed medication does not create a safety risk (e.g. increased drowsiness, reduced vision, reduced capacity for decision making).

Illicit Drugs

In no circumstances are illicit drugs (whether consumed or in possession) permissible at the workplace (including the prior consumption resulting in the person being under the influence, or having traces of said drug within the workplace).
